Hey, thanks for dropping by. Welcome to my bio.

I'm basically your average lazy artist. I like video games, food, sleep and drawing. I'm currently working on my Pokemon Emerald Nuzlocke run, which constitutes about 70% of what I'm posting at the minute, but I also like to draw the odd comic or doodle on other things, be they video games, dumb puns, or just mildly amusing stuff going on in my life. I have been known to do drawing livestreams on occasion.

If you don't know what a Nuzlocke is and you're interested, you can find a brief description at

The Nuzlocking community is awesome and y'all should join in the fun.

I usually reside in the innocuous little hovel of a town known as Abingdon, hanging off the crusty rear-end of the much more well known city of Oxford.

For the time being I am studying the ancient art of animation in a university hanging low in the nether-regions of the UK.

I try to read every single comment I receive, be it on my profile or on my submissions. If I don't reply, please don't take it personally, I really do appreciate the input. The fact is though that I cannot possibly reply individually to every single one without sounding extremely repetitive - there are only so many times I can say "Thanks" before I start sounding like a broken record.

That being said, please feel free to post your honest thoughts, critical or otherwise. So long as you're not explicitly rude, I don't mind. I have a pretty straightforward way of typing, but please don't let that put you off talking to me, I like to think I'm fairly easy to get along with. I will also endeavour to answer any specific questions or particularly interesting comments that I can. If you ask a question and I don't answer, please don't feel afraid to ask again; as I said before, I can be forgetful. By all means talk to me in a note if you'd prefer.

I'm generally up for commissions. There's a little more info' on that elsewhere on my profile. Go ahead and drop me a note if you're interested.

I try to always return llamas. Sharing is caring.
I don't generally do those tag journal things though, except for from close friends. That's not to say that you're forbidden to tag me, just please don't take offence if I don't repost it.

I'm totally aware that loooooads of my "art", particularly the older stuff, is horrible. Like, makes-you-throw-up-very-slightly-when-you-see-it horrible. But that's OK, improvement is part of any artist's journey, and you can't improve if you weren't terrible at some point. Something something Einstein quote.

But yeah, keeping up the old detritus preserves a sort of visual diary of my improving over the years, even if it does make the gallery look a little gross and cluttered towards the last page or two. It looks horrible and I'm sorry, but it's all for the grea'er good.

The grea'er good.

If you've read this far and seen some of my stuff and for some reason you somehow haven't already been driven away from boredom, congratulations, and fear not, it's nearly over.

I do have a Tumblr, which I never, ever update. Hell if I know how this damn site works, I just made an account to take the dumb username in case someone else stole it.

This is the end. I'll put you out of your misery now. Go away. Read a book. Find true love. Live your life as you see fit. The world is your shellfish. Find freedom in this canvas.

People who follow my Nuzlocke, how do you prefer my updates?

285 deviants said Slow and Steady- Longer individual updates, but longer waits in between?
194 deviants said Short and sweet- shorter comics but a bit more frequent?

Hey guys I'mma do a commission stream tomorrow.

I look back fondly on the summer days of yore, when we would not only have frequent daily streams, but even several at the same time. Around summer seems to be when all the reclusive little nuzlockers crawl out of their mole-holes and start actually doing stuff in the community again, and I'm anxious to get straight to it.

With that in mind I'm planning on doing my first livestream in quite a while tomorrow, probably around 12pm GMT or so. That's just a working time, it might be a tiny bit later than that depending on whether I can drag myself out of bed.

Now, I know that a lot of you want more Nuzlocke, and so do I, but at the minute it's the Q&A, which will be like 80% writing stuff, and that'll be really boring to watch and hard to concentrate on for myself, so instead I was thinking I can use the peer pressure as motivation to get some progress made for my several extremely patient commissioners who have dutifully waited through my hiatus to get their sweet, juicy rewards.

So yeah it'll probably be mostly a combination of doodles/commissions.

I'll post an update journal tomorrow morning with more specific details and stuff, so watch this space.

Hope to see you there.
Sorry to keep y'all waiting.

As of this coming week, I'm going to be easing off the hiatus I've been on for a couple of months now, and hopefully I'll be able to get back into the swing of things before too long. Thank you everyone for being so patient.

On May 6th, two things happened. First, my major deadline passed and most of my work for this year was handed in, so that's good.

However, my 3DS was stolen, along with my bag and a lot of my art supplies.

As you can no doubt imagine this was very upsetting and I've been contacting everyone possible in an attempt to recover it, but at this point, it isn't realistically likely.

It happened on a bus. The police have been informed and CCTV has been recovered, so we have images of the thief, and we know where he got off, but until someone comes forward and says they recognise them, I'm out of luck. I've also emailed Nintendo today to ask if there's been any online access of my NNID account, and whether it'd be transferable to a new console if I do end up having to replace it. I had a decent amount of data in there and I am pretty anxious to recover it.

Also in my stolen bag were almost all the sketchbooks and drawings I've been using for the last year, as well as most of my art equipment, such as pens and pencils.

I know it's an extreme long shot, but I had several users on here added on my friend list. Have any of you seen any unusual activity in the last couple of weeks? If I were the thief the first thing I would do is to format the 3DS entirely and delete all previous accounts and information, but hey, no harm in asking.

Anyway, let's not get too depressed.
I'm going to be getting back onto commissions and comics once again in the coming weeks, although there are still several things to wrap up work wise on my end.

I'd also really like to do a stream some time soon, as it's been far too long, and I miss the stream shenanigans I've come to associate with our community in Summer. Watch this space in the next week or two, and we'll see if I can't get something going.

Anyway, that's about it for now.

Later all.
Nuzlocke Q/A 2- Part 1 by Epifex
Nuzlocke Q/A 2- Part 1
Surprise, I'm back.

Sort of.
Aside from one or two teeny tiny little things I have to hand in, I am more or less done with my work for this semester, meaning I'll be able to slowly ease my way out of this hiatus and get some momentum going again.

Not gonna lie, while I like holding Q&A's and seeing people's contributions, the actual creation of them is pretty draining. The sooner I get this over with the better, and then I can move on to advancing the main comic once again.

If you don't see your question here, fear not. There's a chance it may be in the next part. If it still isn't, sorry- like I said, these are pretty tiring to make and I could only answer the most interesting/most asked questions.

Anyway, it feels good to finally upload something again after all these months of inactivity. I'm looking forward to this Summer, when hopefully I can get it going back to its old pace again.

Are you going to be doing any awesome Sun & Moon fan-art?

I'm actually attempting to stay as spoiler-free as possible so I can do a blind run of them once they come out. So far the only thing I've seen is the water starter, and only very briefly so I don't really remember what it looks like. I'm sure I'll do a lot of drawing related to them once I play them though.

Wait, have people actually complained about your gallery because you have your older stuff in there? What kind of artist doesn't enjoy seeing their own or someone else's improvements over time?? I'm STILL terrible and I get a wave of pride when I look back at what I drew three years ago compared to where I am now.

Also uh. Big fan. Ilu and stuff.
